Leading Indicators

Nothingoreg is scarier than amateur film.  See and be seen at the red carpet film event on October 28 at the Florida Theatre! Celebrate the release of the motion picture "Gore-e-ography, The Making of Death Harmony"-a home-grown mockumentary that follows a motley crew of filmmakers as they struggle to complete their inexperienced director's magnum opus: a horror/musical/melodrama featuring vampires, zombies, and ninjas.  With free drinks, live music, and the world premiere screening of the film, it'd be scary if you weren't in attendance!

The Georgia-Florida Game is one of the most popular college rivalry games on the calendar.  Events are FLGA2010happening all over Downtown.  Kick start your weekend with a visit to our website for  GA/FL Weekend Activities and Information, including events, the best places to eat, and nightlife activity in the Core.  Want information on game-day events and stadium information?  Check out the official website at Make a Scene Downtown.

November has a new name: Movember! Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men's health by growing a mustache to raise awareness and funds for cancers that affect men during the month of November. Get in on the facial hair fun at a special Movember Art Walk on November 3 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., yes, ladies too. From a mustache-themed art show at the TAC II gallery to the Movember "Atomic Sketch" at 122 Ocean--even a Movember bake sale--participating venues will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to benefit the cause. Movember Jax, the Jacksonville chapter of the Movember Foundation will host a make-your-own-"mo" table and the Jacksonville RollerGirls street team will hand out fake mustaches throughout the night. Also, donation boxes will be available at various venues.
