Small Business Expo and Reception

Leading Indicators

St. John's Cathedral will be hosting Community Art Auction and Musical Soiree, a live auction and gala featuring works by nationally known artists and a few undiscovered talents from around the greater Jacksonville area.  The event will feature live music, hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.
St. John's Episcopal Cathedral | Mar 20| 6:00 p.m.

The Cowford Ball may sound like a black-tie party but it is actually a boot-scootin', blue-jean wearing, cowboy hat hoedown to support the American Cancer Society.  Musicians Billy Cerveny and Bryan Fogle come home to Jacksonville from Nashville, along with The Shane O'Dazier Band, Lorna Greenwood and Rick Graf. On the menu: collards, fried okra, taters, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, smoky ribs and a dozen more delightful eats.  Live entertainment, all you can eat and all for a good cause! Jacksonville Expo Center at the Fairgrounds | Mar 20 | 6:30 p.m.

Nullspace Gallery is proud to present Mike Breen's newest play, "Check Your Tears at the Door," a piercing look at the alternate futures we each might have followed. The play weighs fate against free will, the natural against the artificial, being at one with nature or outside of it, and the violence and resolution that unfold when these internal clashes break forth.  The night also features the closing of "Lost Letters and Pro(found) Regrets," the installation by Jim Draper and Morrison Pierce.
Nullspace Gallery | Mar 19 | 7:00 p.m.

New Spins on Old Classics

Foreigner is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world, racking up scores of smash hits, multi-platinum albums and sold out concert tours. From "Cold As Ice" to "Hot Blooded," "Urgent" to "Jukebox Hero," "Waiting For A Girl Like You" to the chart topper "I Want To Know What Love Is", Foreigner's thrilling mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans.
Florida Theatre | Mar 19 | 8:00 p.m.

Relive the global classic based on the music of ABBA with Mamá Mia!  On the eve of her wedding, a daughter attempts to discover the identity of her long-lost father, bringing three men back to the Grecian island they had not visited for 20 years.  Love, laughter, and tears ensue as mother and daughter embrace their futures and learn to love their pasts.
Times Union Center for the Performing Arts | Mar 27 | 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

With its intensely expressive melodies, Mozart's "Don Giovanni" has been hailed by many as the greatest of all operas. Don Giovanni is based on the true-life escapades of Don Juan of Seville, an aristocratic serial seducer who lived in the 1600's.  Experience a full-scale, traditional production with beautiful sets and costumes, sung in Italian with projected English supertitles and live orchestra.
