Leading Indicators - Get Downtown for Holidays



Everything is happening Downtown! From holiday events and parties, to a college bowl and New Year's Eve fireworks, so turn off the TV reruns and get Downtown!

Count down to 2010 with the New Year's Eve Firework Spectacular over the St. Johns River. Fireworks will be shot from one barge in front of The Jacksonville Landing and another barge in front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Northbank and Southbank | Dec 31 | Midnight

Jacksonville Scene will ring in 2010 with its New Years Eve Party. The party includes a live DJ, open bar and light food. There will be a champagne toast at midnight as the fireworks light up the sky over Downtown.
Museum of Science and History (MOSH) | Dec 31 | 9pm

Enjoy spectacular food, drinks, and a breathtaking view of the St. Johns River on the New Year's Eve Cruise.
The Jacksonville Princess II | Dec 31 | 10pm

Come celebrate New Year's Eve with live music at The Party in the Park. Donavon Frankenreiter and local artists will perform.

Get pumped up for the Gator Bowl! Excited fans are invited to show their team spirit at the Gator Bowl Pep Rallies. Join the bands, cheerleaders, and mascots in the excitement on New Year's Eve.

The VyStar 5K Run is a great way to get involved with all the excitement the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl has to offer. If running or walking is your thing, this race is for you. The race is held right before the Gator Bowl Parade, and runs along the parade route through downtown Jacksonville.

You are invited to celebrate New Year's Eve at the Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade. The parade through the streets of Downtown features colorful floats, high school bands and college bands, giant helium balloons, and entertaining specialty units.

Watch the West Virginia Mountaineers take on the Florida State Seminoles in the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl. It will be FSU coach, Bobby Bowden's final game.
Jacksonville Municipal Stadium | Jan 1 | 1pm

Enjoy the thrill and excitement of college football as thousands of fans come together to celebrate in a festive and family-oriented atmosphere during the Budweiser Tailgate Party. There will be pep rallies, cheerleaders and bands from West Virginia and Florida State. Tailgaters will also enjoy interactive games and inflatables for the kids.
